If your business was born March 30, 2015 or after, you are in luck! Enter the GreenLight Flint Business Model Competition to win prizes and network with local investors. The top prize is $5,000, with another $5,000 in smaller cash prizes. GreenLight was created by Spartan Innovations and the Michigan Economic Development Center, and the UM-Flint University Outreach Innovation Incubator can help you prepare for the competition.

Who Qualifies?

1. Do you have a well-thought out business idea? You are welcome to apply!
2. Competition is open to all — students and business professionals.
3. If you have a registered business entity, you must be a State of Michigan based business that has been in existence for one year or less (earliest incorporation date of 3/30/15).
4. Winning funds are to be utilized to start or propel business ventures locally.

Deadline to submit your business model: Fri., Jan. 8, 2016, 11:59 pm

1. Prepare your submission:

2. Enter the Greenlight Flint Competition:
   1. Go to http://greenlightflint.com/
   2. Click on the “Registration” tab at the top of the page.
   3. Select “GreenLight 2016 Registration.”

5. Register to attend Greenlight Flint:
   1. Go to http://greenlightflint.com/
   2. Click on the “Registration” tab at the top of the page.
   3. Select “Attend GreenLight 2016.”
      Event will be held Wed. Jan. 27, 5-8 pm, Flint Farmer’s Market

The winner of the GreenLight Flint Business Model Competition will receive an automatic seat to present at the GreenLight Michigan event on March 30, 2016, where the top prize is $25,000 with a total of $50,000 in prizes.
