Communities First, Inc. Presents Movies Under the Stars

Flint, Mich.– Communities First, Inc. is hosting a series called Movie Under the Stars which will feature four different outdoor movies throughout the summer. The next event will be held outside on the lawn behind Flint City Hall on Saturday, August 29th.  A pre-event party will precede the movie, offering the community a chance to come together for fun games and activities. Each attendee will be provided with popcorn and snacks to enjoy during the movie.  Movies will be viewed on a 25 foot movie screen and are all family friendly.

The August 29th movie is an animated children’s movie called Epic.  The pre-party will feature pre-party activities such as: a petting zoo, science demonstrations by U of M’s Chemistry Club, life-sized games for kids and a community dance party.  The festivities begin at 7:30pm and the movies will begin at dusk.  Attendees should be sure to bring their lawn chairs, jackets and blankets to enjoy the movie.  In the event that there is rain, the event will take place at Bower Theater on the Flint Cultural Center Campus (1220 E. Kearsley St.).

The priorities of CFI are affordable housing, economic development, green programs, and quality of life programs.
