Flint Resiliency In Communities After Stress and Trauma (ReCAST) grant discussions

Wonderful news! – our community was selected as one of the few areas across the nation to receive nearly $5 million in funding to implement the Flint Resiliency In Communities After Stress and Trauma (ReCAST) grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), Center for Mental Health Services. The Flint-ReCAST will promote resilience, community empowerment, and long-term well-being for area families and youth, given the stressful situations faced by people in Flint and surrounding areas.

Dr. Vicki Johnson-Lawrence from the University of Michigan – Flint and Dr. Pamela Pugh from the City of Flint invite you to participate in series of discussions that will focus on the needs of Flint residents.

We want to hear from Flint residents about the types of needs, resources and activities that will individuals, families and the Flint community. There will be three meetings on November 29th & November 30th. Community residents are invited to share their opinion on the needs of the community. Please share this email with your network so we can spread the word about these meetings. If you cannot attend, please send a representative from your organization. The attachments and descriptions below provide additional detail about each session.
