THE MICHIGAN PRINCE HALL FAMILY SHOWS ITS ONGOING SUPPORT FOR FLINT WITH PRESENTATIONS TO FRIENDS OF BERSTON FIELD HOUSE

Flint – When Sisters and Brothers of Prince Hall Grand Chapter Order of the Eastern Star – Jurisdiction of Michigan meet for their annual fall training session, there will be a significant expression of charity which is one of the organization’s guiding principles. They will make a special presentation to the Friends of Berston Field House in support of their work focused on sustaining Flint residents.

“We have supported water drives but so much more assistance is needed,” acknowledged Grand Worthy Matron Roslyn L. Banks. As part of her community service focus, she is making assisting Flint a focus for Order of the Eastern Star chapters throughout Michigan.

According to Royal Star #27 local chapter leaders, Worthy Matron Carrie Henry and Worthy Patron Aaron Watkins, approximately 90 percent of their members live in Flint. It is groups like the Friends of Berston Field House that assist residents with hand wipes, sanitizers and shower heads plus many other community resources.

In addition to local members and officers, Banks will be joined by Grand Worthy Patron Munir F. Muhammad and members from chapters throughout Michigan for the presentation to Friends of Berston Field House. Also making a presentation to the Friends of Berston Field House will be the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Free & Accepted Masons of Michigan and the current Most Worshipful Grand Master, Brother Adrian L. Green.

“The Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Michigan has spearheaded the effort to raise money for the Flint Water Crisis since it began and many of our fellow Masons from around the country have made contributions toward our donation. We are blessed, humbled, and honored to help the people of Flint through this effort. Many thanks to the Grand Worthy Matron for inviting the Grand Lodge to share in this occasion during the OES Fall School of Instruction,” said Grand Master Green.

These presentations serve as evidence of their commitment to show concern and do more community service for Flint.
