Blight Elimination and Vacant Lot Reuse Training

Hello Everyone,

I hope the final weeks of summer are finding everyone well! Building upon the tremendous response that we received from Grassroot Rising, Genesee County Habitat for Humanity has partnered with the Center for Community Progress to provide training to grassroots leaders hoping to tackle issues of community blight and vacant lot reuse in their neighborhoods.

The training, titled Blight Elimination and Vacant Lot Reuse: Strategies for Flint Neighborhood Leaders, will be held on Monday, October 10th from 6-8 pm at Genesee County Habitat for Humanity, 101 Burton St., Flint, MI 48503. Please see the attached flyer for more information.

This training is free and open to anyone, and light refreshments will be provided. Please plan on joining us for this exciting opportunity, and please share with all of your friends and neighbors!

As always, if you have any questions or would like for me to talk with your block club or neighborhood association about this and other resources available through Genesee County Habitat for Humanity, please don’t hesitate to contact me at (810) 766-9089 ext. 208 or vslocum@geneseehabitat.org.

All the best,
