Public Invited to Attend First Annual Civic Park Music and Arts Festival!

Flint, MI (August 19, 2015) – With summer winding to a close, the Civic Park Neighborhood Association and Joy Tabernacle Church invite community members to come out and celebrate at the First Annual Civic Park Music and Arts Festival! The festival will be held on August 22 at 1313 W. Dayton Place from 12:00 – 9:00 pm, with lawn seating available at Civic Park Elementary. The festival is free and open to the public, and will feature fun and fellowship for the whole family.

In addition to food and merchandise vendors and karaoke, the festival will feature live music from local bands and entertainers, including a headlining performance by renowned singer/guitarist and “King of the Party Blues”, Maurice Davis. The festival will also feature an Evangelism Explosion by Saints of God Church from 12-5 pm at Saints of God Church, 2200 Forest Hill Ave., featuring preaching, singing, fun/games, free food, and praise dancing. The National Kidney Foundation of Michigan will also be available to provide free health and welfare information.

Civic Park Neighborhood Association Meetings
As a fellowship of Civic Park residents, collectively working to achieve a mission of “neighbors helping neighbors”, the Civic Park Neighborhood Association advocates on behalf of and works to improve quality of life within the Civic Park Neighborhood. They meet bi-monthly on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month at 6:00 pm in Joy Tabernacle Church. All meetings of the Civic Park Neighborhood Association are inclusive, welcoming, and open to the public.
