Day of Play Brings Family Fun to North Flint

CRIM AND HURLEY TEAM UP WITH THE NORTH FLINT FOOD MARKET FOR DAY OF PLAY

Local Partners Bring Fun, Healthy Family Activities to North Flint at Future Co-op Site

(Flint, MI) – Families and area residents are invited to join in the fun at the Day of Play at the future site of the North Flint Food Market Co-Op. The North Flint Food Market (NFFM) has partnered with the Crim Fitness Foundation and Hurley Medical Center for an afternoon of family fun on Sunday, July 28. The 2019 Day of Play will have health and fitness activities for kids of all ages, including yoga and Zumba. The day will also include a dunk tank, ice cream and other area nonprofits.

There is no cost to attend the event which will take place on Sunday, July 28 from 2 to 5 p.m at the future home of the NFFM located at 5402 N. Clio Rd., Flint, MI 48504.

“We want to invite families to come out for an afternoon of family fun while showcasing the future home of the North Flint Food Market for the community,” said Arlene Wilborn general manager for the NFFM. “We want the NFFM to be a hub for the community to gather together.”

The North Flint Food Market will be Genesee County’s first food cooperative and will be part of a larger health and wellness hub located near the corners of Clio and Pierson Roads. The co-op has over 615 members who will be engaged at the event along with residents of North Flint including the 48504, 48505 and 48458 zip codes.

Day of Play is sponsored by Kohl’s Cares for Kids and Hurley Children’s Hospital. The event is being hosted in conjunction with the Crim Fitness Foundation. Special thanks also goes out to HAP, Home Depot in Flushing, Randy Wise in Flint, Eats and Sweets, Tasty Treats, and Da Red Wagon for their support.
