Deadline for applications for the Ward Clean-up Support is fast approaching!

As a reminder, the deadline for application submittals is fast approaching! All applications must be submitted by 3:00 PM, Monday, July 22, 2019!

In an effort to support the partnership between Republic Services and the City of Flint, Republic Services would like to offer the assistance to “Fight Blight” for each Ward within the city.

Residents and Business owners are encouraged to bring a concept or idea for a cleanup effort or event within their ward for consideration. Republic Services will support the selected ideas in each ward through resources such as volunteers, supplies, lunches, dumpsters and other opportunities based on the submittal received.

One event or idea will be awarded for each of the nine Wards within the City of Flint boundaries. The award will be based on significance to the Ward, areas that are in most need within that Ward, new concepts that could bring inspiration to that Ward and resident input. Each event request will be evaluated on a case by case basis by Republic Services.

Concept or idea applications must be submitted in by 3:00 PM, Monday, July 22, 2019, to the Department of Public Works Transportation Office for consideration.
