The Flint Symphonic Wind Ensemble (FSWE), organized in 1966 as the Flint Civic Wind Ensemble (FCWE) by Donald C. Clough, celebrates with a special concert 50 years to the month (May 1966-May 2016). The concert features three candidates for the position of permanent conductor: Michael Keller auditioning conductor, Brendan Hieshetter Assistant Conductor and Donald C. Clough Conductor Emeritus. The concert features music composed in the 20th century. The concert will be held on Sunday, May 15, 2016 at 3:00 PM. The concert location is is at Faith Tabernacle, 1225 S. Center Rd. in Burton, MI 48509.

Four Charter Members will be receiving plaques for 50 years of service as being members still performing from the original FCWE concert in May of 1966 FCWE. They are Donald C. Clough, conductor and French horn; Bruce Dunn, trombone and euphonium; Jerry Johnston, trombone; Nancy Wood, French horn. All former members of the first ever concert of May, 1966 are urged to attend and be recognized from the audience.

Admission donations are: $8.00 general admission; $6.00 all students and senior citizens; children 5 and under free. All other donations would be appreciated and are tax deductible as the FSWE is a 501c3. For additional information call (810) 577-6139 or by email at emeritustock@att.net.
