Ages 3-6: Nothing about a caterpillar a says that it will someday become a butterfly. See if you can match the larvae to the adult. This week program participants will take home a pair of butterfly wings to complete their own metamorphosis into a beautiful butterfly!
Ages 7-12: Keeping caterpillars can be a fun and exciting nature project for the entire family. This week your For-Mar naturalist will help you create your own caterpillar terrarium. We’ll search for caterpillars to add to our terrariums and learn which species eat which feeder plants. Note: Participants of the program that takes place at For-Mar will not be able to remove animals from the property, however we can keep our little friends at the Nature Canter and watch them grow.
