Transforming Vacant Lots Workshop Series – Workshop 1 – Ideas to Action: Project Design, Planning, and Implementation

When implementing any new vacant land project, a little planning and design go a long way. This two-hour workshop will introduce you to a wide range of potential vacant land “treatments” or designs – ranging from passive to active, art to infrastructure, agriculture to recycling, and standalone to comprehensive.

With ideas spinning, we’ll walk through basic project planning, including objectives and action steps, task delegation, supply and resource procurement, zoning and permitting, and budget development, as well as implementation. You will receive tangible tools for site design, project planning, and budgeting.
