HealthPlus Crim Festival of Races Steps Up its Tradition as the Best Race in Michigan, Honors Longtime Participants and Welcomes Special Guests

What: The 39th annual HealthPlus Crim Festival of Races continues to inspire and encourage runners and walkers across world during the greatest celebration of health and fitness in Michigan. Tens of thousands of racers, thousands of volunteers, and hundreds of community partners create a swell of energy and joy like no other event in the area. Join us as we honor special guests that span the generations of great runners and walkers. We’ll celebrate local running superstar Grant Fisher, as well as recognize long-standing Crim participants.  All race details will be highlighted, including race day special guest Christopher McDougall, bestselling author of Born to Run and Natural Born Heroes.

    Race Day registration starts at 6:30am and ends at 9am.

Michigan Mile Race Series presented by the University of Michigan-Flint

  • 7pm – Professional Mile – Women
  • 7:07pm – Professional Mile – Men sponsored by ATI Physical Therapy
  • 7:20pm – USATF Masters Road Mile National Championship – Women
  • 7:30pm – USATF Masters Road Mile National Championship – Men sponsored by Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce

  • 7:55pm – Young Runner’s Mile – Boys & Girls 12 & Younger

  • 9:30am – Run

  • 10am – Run
  • 10:10am – Family Walk (strollers allowed in final wave)
  • 5K Start line will remain open until 10:45am to accommodate Crim Half Combo racers (10 Mile + 5K)

Teddy Bear Trot presented by Financial Plus Credit Union

  • 12pm (parents welcome to accompany kids)
  • Race starts in front of City Hall on Saginaw Street and ends at Festival Finish Line (Distance: .29 miles)
