Let the dances begin!

Hello, folks–we will be dancing again in Flint starting Sunday, September 13th at our regular time, from 2-5 pm (with new dancer workshop starting at 1:30) at Freeman School. Steve Gold will be our caller (hurray!) and Flint’s own Homegrown Contraband will be playing–should be a lot of fun!

I also wanted to let you know there is a free contra dance opportunity up in Midland this week. Here is their information:

Hello Everyone!
It’s time to BOOGIE! Fill your van with your Family, Friends, Relatives, and Neighbors, and head out to the Midland County Fairgrounds! The Midland Folk Music Festival, sponsored by the Folk Music Society of Midland, starts on Thursday, August 27, which means there will be a FREE Contra Dance on August 28, 7 – 10 p.m. in the Fair Center. Everyone is Welcome at this Dance; all ages, singles, couples, and families. Beginners are especially Welcome! All Dances are Taught, so no experience is necessary, and you don’t need a partner. Just bring yourself dressed in cool, casual clothing, and comfortable shoes, and remember, you’re never fully dressed without a Smile. That’s August 28, 7 – 10 p.m. at the Midland County Fairgrounds for a FREE Dance. Please share this with everyone, and stop by our Facebook page and “like” us. Thanks!

Hope to see you on the dance floor soon!
Cheryl
