11:00:02 From Barb Hollenbeck to Everyone: I am interested in the methods you looking at for prevention of dumping. There are so many spots that are cleaned up and then dumped on again within a short time. It is very disheartening that all the work seems useless.

11:06:07 From Allie Herkenroder to Everyone: We must also recognize Olive Beasley for being a major organizer of the affordable housing sleep-in protest at city hall, in addition to Mr. McCree.

11:07:35 From Jim & Jane Richardson to Everyone: thank you allie…

11:12:28 From Jim & Jane Richardson to Everyone: can you post the information card?

11:12:51 From Lisa Pasbjerg, she/her Flint Registry to Everyone:

We missed an opportunity to bury electrical & internet lines along with all of the pipe replacements to every home & business in Flint, which would have created resilience for many years to come….

11:15:57 From Chris Frye to Lisa Pasbjerg, she/her Flint Registry(Direct Message): It does seem logical, right? The problem lies in the huge cost of the infrastructure change. It’s nowhere near as simple as it may seem.

11:16:24 From Peggy Stribling to Everyone: FYI I have done trash pick up in my neighborhood just to set an example for others and it has worked. I have been sending emails and left messages to Land Bank and Blight before and throughout the Pandemic that there were heavy logs dumped on the lot near the street on the corner of N Trumbull and W Dartmouth and it’s still laying there. I’ve even informed Ward 2 Council. So, if you can’t get assistance this way what support do we really have in the city? It’s frustrating when you can’t get some response and support when you do your best to make it better.

11:17:54 From Barb Hollenbeck to Everyone:Thank you

11:18:16 From Lisa Pasbjerg, she/her Flint Registry to Chris Frye(Direct Message): I have looked and there are a lot of federal dollars available in grant form for cities to do these things, in anticipation of climate change. We are already having to rebuild…we should be mindful to build on a resiliency model that will move us from always being reactive, instead of anticipating challenges….

11:20:07 From Barb Hollenbeck to Everyone: Fee free dumping sites sounds great.

11:20:32 From Chris Frye to Lisa Pasbjerg, she/her Flint Registry(Direct Message): New developments have been built with just that sensible design in mind. Older communities are a different issue.

11:21:02 From Jim & Jane Richardson to Everyone: dumpsters?

11:22:31 From Raynetta’s iPad to Everyone: There should be an advertisement-Mayor will pay for dumping permit

11:22:34 From Allie Herkenroder to Everyone: Thank you for taking the initiative on that, Mike!

11:22:44 From Lisa Pasbjerg, she/her Flint Registry to Chris Frye(Direct Message): That is hopeful. I would like to see more attention given to helping Flint homeowners (like me) begin retrofitting and updating our houses. It would be another step towards beautifying our city and making it a great place to live & work.

11:24:49 From Allie Herkenroder to Everyone: For any blight complaints in Ward 7, please do not hesitate to call me at 810-766-7418 xt 3163 or to send an email with pictures of the blight to aherkenroder@cityofflint.com

11:25:20 From Chris Frye to Peggy Stribling(Direct Message): I have found that, while it takes some time to take hold, your solution DOES work.

11:25:44 From Essence Wilson to Everyone: Essence Wilson ewilson@communitiesfirstinc.org

11:26:43 From Kay Schwartz to Everyone: Good to see everyone today, must peel off now! Book return is open at Kearsley St. if you have books to bring back. Drive in from Crapo Street. The Book Return is on the drivers side of your car just before you get to our garage.

11:27:08 From Dylan Luna to Everyone: Have to take off, but wanted to say if anyone is interested in volunteering at the Downtown Flint clean up on May 14 or at alley fest, please contact me at 8108453703 or DLuna@flintandgenesee.org

11:28:05 From Chris Frye to Everyone: It is gratifying to see a younger Flint citizen take such an interest in his city. Thank you.

11:30:33 From Dr. Ladel Lewis to Everyone: Is there a check list that code enforcement use when they monitor neighborhoods? If so, how can we access that?

11:33:52 From Dr. Ladel Lewis to Everyone: 2nd Ward/Sarvis Park Neighborhood Clean Up Meet @ Sarvis Park April 23 @10am-1am Lunch will be served
